Ike Clanton - "We're Number One!" Fox - trophy presentation.

Aaron Fox turned in a flawless performance and won the Scratch Main Event for the second consecutive week at the world famous Costa Mesa Speedway.

“Mad” Max Ruml and Fox both entered the main event undefeated and a draw was held to determine who would have the first choice of starting position. Max Ruml won the draw and immediately chose gate one. Fox picked gate two without hesitation, “Flyin” Mike Faria selected gate three which left Dillon Ruml with gate four. The Ruml Brothers appearance together in the main event was the first time brothers had lined in a Southern California main event in many years.

Fox was off the starting line first and got across Max Ruml to secure the lead in turn one. The elder Ruml Brother went after the leader while the younger Ruml Brother was in third. Max Ruml searched for a way past Fox but there were no openings for him to exploit. Fox was first to the checkered flag, Max Ruml finished second, Dillon Ruml was third, and Faria came in fourth.

Bobby “Boogaloo” Schwartz kicked off the evening by defeating Russell Green in the first heat. Fox opened his night with a win over Dillon Ruml in event two. Max Ruml beat Buck Blair in the third heat. Broc Nicol ended the first round with a win ahead of Shawn “Mad Dog” McConnell.

Nicol started the second round by beating Faria to get his second win in a row. Fox defeated Schwartz for his second straight win. Max Ruml matched Nicol and Fox with his second win. “Battling” Buck Blair beat Dillon Ruml to end round two.

Round three began with Faria defeating Blair. Fox remained perfect by defeating Rocco Scopellite. Max Ruml won his third consecutive race ahead of Schwartz. McConnell finished the heats by beating Talkington.

The first semi required three starts to complete. Fox, who led all three attempts, was victorious with Faria getting second to join him in the main. The Ruml Brothers finished one-two in the second semi with Max leading Dillon across the finish line.

Nathan Siegel led the Support Main Event for the first two laps but River McDougall charged up the inside to take the lead as the white flag waved. McDougall held on to the lead on the final lap and secured the victory. Eloy Medellin finished second, Siegel was third, Joe Donaldson finished fourth, and David Lynch was fifth.

Pam “Pinky” Bennett led the Support B Main Event for a lap but Lewis Hughes passed her on the back straight for the lead. Hughes never looked back from there and raced away with the win. Monte McKeon finished second, Bennett was third, Wade Whitcomb finished fourth, Alex Martino was fifth, and Dan Wensloff finished sixth.

Sebastian “Big Daddy” Palmese led all four laps en route to victory in the Junior 250 Main Event. Michael Wells finished second, Jake Isaac was third, and James Blair finished fourth.

Slater Lightcap was victorious in the Mini 150 Main Event with Luke Whitcomb getting second and Andrew Russell coming in third.

National Champions Bryan Motis and Josh Bennett led from start to finish and collected the victory in the Sidecar Main Event. Joe Jones and Tom Summers were second, Dual Anderson and Vinny Madagan finished third, and Stuart Glass and Jack Straw were fourth.
