This was probably the quietest evening this season at Fast Fridays. I understand there was some local function
going on (obviously less important than Speedway) and of course three of our top riders were away on
Overseas Final duty.
Those not in attendance missed some entertaining riding from former top California rider, John Cook. John's list
of credentials seems endless, but includes:
Today John lives in Sweden and rides for Smederna in the Swedish League, where his team mates are Billy
Hamill and Mark Loram. The reason for his appearance here was to start the John Cook Speedway Academy.

For the third week in a row there was a double main event winner and again being a third different one. This time
it was Bobby Hedden. He won all his handicap rides and was beaten only by Charlie Venegas in his scratch
semifinal. Ryan Fisher made it to the main in the handicap section but looped at the gate in his scratch heat.

On June 17 there is a social mixer at the track for everyone to come and meet the riders and sponsors. There
will be some demonstration races etc. It's a chance for the Auburn Chamber of Commerce to see what the sport
is all about. Racing as normal next Friday.
