Week four is a wrap at Fast Friday's Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn Ca. and the racing action has been non-stop first class. Friday night the Team Challenge continued with round two of the season long exciting grudge match between Team IFC and Team Law Tigers. Coming into round two the Law Tigers held a commanding12-6 lead. Points are accumulated during the five rounds and the final championship round. Riders in teams race three races-two riders from each team scoring points in each round with finishing places.

Team IFC gained serious ground scoring 11 points for the round behind wins and three points each for Broc Nicol and Chase Kangas. Blake Borello and Hunter Castillo added two points each and Gregg Moore chipped in one more. For the Law Tigers Wilbur Hancock was the only rider to score three points with a win for the Law Tigers. Eleven-time national champion Billy Janniro in a very rare occurrence fell hard on the back straight-away getting up but unable to continue in the challenge losing additional points. Russell Green added two points and Charlie Trana tallied one.

When the dust settled IFC closed the gap in the series ending just one point behind the Law Tigers with the score going into round three June 21 is Law Tigers 18, IFC 17. It's wide open for either team to take the lead as the challenge continues.

The “Fastest Man of the Night” title went to track favorite Bart Bast as he scored a decisive win in the scratch main event. Bast, with over 40 years of speedway riding experience picked up his first main event win of the season. Bast won his scratch heat race, transferred to his semi-final finishing second and that landed him in the main. Drawing lane one Bast worked the inside track using all of his years' experience to keep Billy Janniro at bay. Janniro, who came out of lane four, tried working the deeper part of the track with all his experience but with no mistakes on Bast's part his efforts fell short and Bast took the checkered flag. Janniro finished second, Russell Green was third and Broc Nicol was excluded for rolling into the tapes early.

Young Charlie Trana kept rolling in the handicap program main winning his second main event win in a row. The 2022 AMA Youth 250 Speedway champion has been on a 500cc bike since and getting better each week is a force to deal with. Working from the 20-yard line in the handicap program, Trana kept ahead of Bast who starts on the 30-yard line and who was having a great night in the handicap program also. The race was tight, but Trana kept ahead of the confident veteran and won his second handicap main event of the season. Bast was second nearly grabbing a double-double for the evening and Blake Borello was third.

New to Fast Friday's this season Tisiah Prout picked up his first main event win in the support class. Prout is figuring it out finishing second last week in the support class main event and this week got it together for the main event win. Long time rider Brian Leventon was second place and Catherine Moore was third.

Make it three in a row for Darren Armbruster winning his third Youth 250 main event. Armbruster lost just one main event this season on opening night. Showing why he wears the number one plate for winning the AMA Youth 250 national championship last season, is riding better than ever. Armbruster was undefeated winning his heat races then the main event. Second place in the main was Caden Cavrikas and Jameson Hutchinson was third.

So far Riley Rearick seems unbeatable in the Youth 150 program. After four weeks of the Fast Friday's season Rearick has yet to lose a race or a main event. He put it together again Friday night with another Youth 150 main event win making it four in a row even starting on the 60-yard line. Leeann Emerson hung in there with a second-place finish and newcomer Zander Schroeder was third.

Complete Fast Friday's season rider point totals can be found at www.fastfridays.com. After three weeks of racing Billy Janniro leads Division I with 428 points, followed by Blake Borello with 337 and Russell Green with 333 points. Support Class is led by Hunter Castillo with 167, Antonio Coffman with 152 points and Brian Leventon with 140 points.

Be sure not to miss the action next week as Fast Friday's recognizes motorcycle legends and looking back at speedway with Vintage Night. Fast Friday's is for sure “The Place to be on Friday Night's.”
