The racing at Costa Mesa is always a great show. Not sure if it’s the people, racers or the fact that Speedway at the fairgrounds has 54 years of history and hero’s. Probably all those factors and more are what makes this venue so special, exciting and enjoyable.

Those reasons and a host of others made the 2nd May 18 event of this short 2024 six race dates schedule a thrill to see and be seen.

Complementing the Speedway Division 1, 2, 3, PW-50 and Juniors program were the Knobby racers. Always wild as they race their motocross style machines on the small 1/8 mile track its organized madness at its best.

Unfortunately Costa Mesa will be dark for the next two weeks. Fortunately all is not lost as its sister track in the City of Industry starts their 2024 season this coming Saturday night June 1 with a full program of Speedway under the lights of the famous Thunderdome. A chip off the Costa Mesa block it features Terry Clanton on the microphone along with the same exciting Speedway racers and officials.

The following week June 8, Industry will feature the Connor Penhall Memorial Cup. Americas richest speedway race the 8th running of this annual event will feature the same insane speedway racing plus those crazy New Zealand sidecars, Junior Speedway and special Knobby exhibition race. More information here.

Then we return to Costa Mesa on June 15 with their popular Harley Night 2 event that will include Speedway and Sidecars. More information here.

Hope we see you there, or there or everywhere. Cause in the end it’s you the fans and spectators that keep the doors open. You know Speedway and how great this sport is and how dedicated those that compete and promote are. So tell/bring a friend or loved one.
