Industry Racing, CA, USA - June 5

Billy "The Bullet" Hamill matched his undefeated evening at the Season Opener with another night of perfection on Industry Racing's second event of the 2013 season.

Billy Hamill had first choice of starting position in the main event and after mulling over gates one and two he selected the inside starting position. Former National Champion Charlie "The Edge" Venegas quickly chose gate two. Sixteen year old "Mad" Max Ruml picked gate three which left Aaron Fox in gate four.

Venegas went for broke on the first offering, got into the tapes, and was penalized for the restart. Billy Hamill led the restart into the first turn with Max Ruml right behind him. The teenager hunted for a way around his mentor but couldn't gain any ground. The former World Champion opened a little breathing room and Max Ruml had to contend with Fox trying to take second. Fox's persistence paid off when he slipped underneath Max Ruml as they exited turn two the third time. Billy Hamill led to the finish, Fox hung on to second, Max Ruml finished third, and Venegas was fourth.

Fox kicked off the heats with a win over Michael Raines. National Under 21 Champion Gino Manzares beat Max Ruml in the second heat. "Battling" Buck Blair defeated John Marquez in the third heat. Billy Hamill ended round one with a victory over former National runner-up Tyson Burmeister.

Burmeister started round two by defeating Raines. Manzares made it two victories in a row by holding off Fox. Max Ruml beat Blair for his first win of the night. Billy Hamill beat Venegas to end the second round.

The third round started in spectacular fashion. "Nasty" Nate Perkins led through turn one but Burmeister went from third to first on the back straight. Max Ruml stalked Burmeister until taking over the lead on the last lap to get his second straight win. Fox then defeated former Junior National Champion Jason Ramirez for his second victory. Tyson Talkington scored an impressive win over Venegas in event 27. Billy Hamill ended the heats by beating Manzares to remain perfect.

The first semi required a restart with Manzares being penalized for bringing out the red flag. Venegas won the restart with Fox following him into the main event. Billy Hamill and Max Ruml finished one-two in the second semi to book their places in the main event.

Manzares won the Consolation after leading from start to finish. Burmeister was second, Blair finished third, and Talkington was fourth.

Rudy Laurer was victorious in the Second Division Main Event for the second time in as many weeks. Dillon Osborne finished second, Eloy Medellin was third, and Carl Gazafy finished fourth.

Steve "Beach Ball" Brown led the Third Division Main Event for two laps before Lewis Hughes took over. Hughes never looked back and was first to the checkered flag. Brown held on to second, Chris Wiggins finished third, and Dan Eddy was fourth.

Junior National Champion Broc Nicol put together four smooth laps and captured the Junior 250 Main Event. Kurtis Hamill finished second, Dillon Ruml was third, and Dalton Leedy finished fourth.

Courtney Crone showed the boys the fast way around the track and was victorious in the Mini 150 First Division Main Event. Sebastian Palmese was second, Michael Wells finished third, and Maverick Molloy was fourth.

Attrition whittled the Mini 150 Second Division Main Event to just two riders. Slater Lightcap was victorious over Jake Isaac.

"Lightning" Luke Whitcomb started at the back but weaved through the traffic to win the Pee Wee Main Event. Nick Dunn was second, Walker Calvo finished third, Jason Palmese Jr. was fourth, Brogen Sauer finished fifth, and Carson Calvo was sixth.

The first attempt to run the Sidecar Main Event ended up in a pile in turn two. Bryan Motis and Dave German were penalized for the restart. Dual Anderson and Ethan Smith led the restart for a lap but National Champions Joe Jones and Johnny Glover went by them entering turn three the second time. Anderson and Smith remained close to the leaders but couldn't get by. Jones and Glover finished first, Anderson and Smith had to settle for second, Dan Rapaport and Jacob Serrato were third, and Motis and German finished fourth.
